Today as well as the future, I’m going to buy a couple of DVD/BluRay sets that won’t play on U.S. machines. I had bought a region free DVD player a couple of years ago and it plays the British sitcom I bought to watch it. Also U.S. DVDs and ones i have burned myself.Bought a different brand BD region free earlier and returned it as it wouldn’t play anything but U.S. DVD’s. Paid a bit more but so far it works with U.S and British regions.. so I’m going to buy a Non-U.S. BD set and I’m expecting ill be able to watch that. Region on the player is changed by pushing the color button which matches the region the disk is from. I printed out a global map of all the continents with the different region colors and put it with my instructions. U.S. is red, England is Green, etc.I had my U,S.Sony BD player set up as I use it frequenyly, and I set up this region free Sony for testing near to my U.S. player. Remote for the new region free BD Sony turned on/off and opened/closed my U.S. Sony player so I’ll just not have them close together when I’m watching something on one or the other. I was confused for a few minutes though! Two disk trays opening and closing in unison was unexpected.I’m very happy right now but when I get the new DVD set will be the final test.

I am sorry I donât have any videos or pictures to show, but I honestly didnât buy it for any of those reasons. Sure it was a high priority, but the main priority was that I had some Blu Rayâs bought outside of my zone and I couldnât enjoy them. Sadly, so I needed to buy a player that could show them.But that said, the player works like a charm. Speedy delivery and all in all, a wonderful experience.My thanks to all involved in making it possible for me to once again see some stuff not available for streaming.I can highly recommend this seller.Thanks for reading, and sorry for any errors. For the money, I will most likely purchase another! For the price of a blue ray ALL REGION PLAYER that’s simple to set up, turn on, hit eject (no set up first or at all),press the button for the region of disc, hit eject, disc goes in and plays. SIMPLE, E A S Y! Great picture. Don’t use it for Internet (fire stick or Roku would work just fine). Purchased from Bombay. Get em while you can ,but save one for me! Oh, DVD is ALL REGION and they look GREAT. You just can’t go wrong here for the price. Some have complaints about getting one that doesn’t work… however, they contact seller and get one that does. My advice, buy NEW (yes, they have been open to upgrade to all region for blue ray disc, but unit is indeed brand new…at least mine was. Even comes with easy instructions ….see first sentence. Go for it!!!

Not OEM Product. It is Opened/ Reprogrammed Then Sold as OEM.
Goal: Looking for Region Free DVD-BD player that plays home DVD/ DB and USB.Cons:(1) This is not an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) product. There is an insert (see photo) that says the item was modified to be region free. Thus Sony made a BD/ DVD player, then someone opens the factory boxes and reprograms the player to be region free. Would prefer to have factory OEM region free product. Seller needs to state it’s a modified item and not OEM.(2) Remote Control: It’s Sony but has no back-light. Functions OK, but use a better universal remote.(3) Item description dimensions are incorrect. As of 04/17/2022, Amazon listing dimensions stated”11 x 13 x 11 inches.” Actual player dimensions are 9″ wide x 7.5″ depth x 1.5″ high.Pros:It’s only been a couple days but it works.This is what I tested:(1) DVD: Non-USA region DVD, played automatically, tested OK.(2) DVD: Region 1 (USA/ Canada) OEM Movie DVD, tested OK.(3) BD: Region A (USA/ Canada) OEM Blu-ray movie disk, tested OK.(4) DVD+R: Brand new & 20+ yr old computer made video disk, tested OK.10x random disks tested OK. Disks stored in individual plastic cases in dust-free large storage case(Home-made Mac & PC made disks tested, OK. Must “finalize disk” to play on player.(5) BD-R: Computer made Blu-ray video & picture PC backup disk, tested OK.(6) USB: Video/ picture back-up thumb drive, tested OK.(7) DVD+R computer-made data disk, does not play (incompatible).(8) Blu-ray (BD) computer-made data disk, does not play (incompatible).(9) OEM CD (Music). Sorry, I don’t have, but based on testing above, I would have reason to believe OEM CD’s would play OK.Neutral:(1) Comes with built-in Wi-Fi and several hundred possible apps can download to player home screen.Concern about privacy controls of Sony or whomever is data collecting what including your IP location.Pass on this.Over-all Review.Needed Region-Free player.Seller should disclose it’s not OEM, but so far it works and happy about that.

I like that it will play all DVDs, regardless of which zone they were tailored for, because I have a vast DVD collection that contains some esoteric titles that cannot be viewed on region-generated players.
