Outstanding product and accessories
Package arrived next day Amazon Prime. External cd/dvd player/burnercomes with a soft cover case that has a outside zipper pocket. The case will protect the device for storage or travel. All the needed cables are included. I especially like the tethered dual end cable to connect the device to usb ports. Iâm using the usb C on a Windows 11 laptop.I decided to use VLC media player and it has all the features I need.CD and DVD play perfectly and the drive is very quiet. Easy to install Plug and play. Especially impressed with the packaging. I have not used the other 4 varied ports nor the burning capabilities. I suspect all will be excellent when the time comes to need them. Very happy with Roofull product and exceptional business model.

Works fine under LINUX
It works fine under my BeeLink SER6 running Debian. I tested both playback and DVD burning. Contrary to the manual, the device works fine either when plugged directly in or indirectly through a USB hub. Indeed, a powered USB hub seams to be the only way to run this device under Raspberry Pi, because the Raspberry Pi can not supply enough power by itself. It works with the PI but I am afraid my poor 3.0 PI is not fast enough to keep up with it. No matter, it works just fine with my BeeLink. With Linux, no third party apps are required, it works out of the box with the tools provided by Debian. You do not need any drivers with LINUX.The User Manual mentions that there is a power cord to be plugged in, in the event the upstream does not have enough USB power to power the device. But it does not say where the port for that power cord should be plugged in! I assume it is the unmarked port on the on the back, left side! It also does not say if power to this port will back feed the source? Some people do not like to have their upstream devices powered down stream. On the other hand, if backfeed=yes then you could get a big power supply with a lot of amps, and power both the DVD player and the PI with the same connection! If not, I suppose you could get a splitter cable.I have tried the USB HUB on the back upper side of the device and it works at least under LINUX. This means you do not loose net USB ports with this device. If all your USB ports on your computer are in use, you do not have to get a USB hub or a new adapter. You can simply daisy chain one of your existing devices through the USB hub on the back top of the DVD player. I have not had a chance to check out the SIM card connection. If it works this would seem to be a great device for someone with a PI. It seems that PI users are always burning new SIM cards!The manual and the advertising should specify how many amps this thing draws. That way, a person buying a PI could add the amps together to figure out how many amps are required for the power supply.Some would find the constant flashing Blue lights, whether the device is actually in use or not, annoying!

Price is very good and works perfectly
I have purchased a new lap top but unfortunately it did not have a CD/DVD drive. I like to listen to my classic music when I work so I found the Roofull external CD/DVD. It came with a case and it is small and portable. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money just for an external CD/DVD but I was very happy with the price and works perfectly well. Now I can enjoy my music and work at the same time.

So far, so good. Only had this external drive for a week or so but so far it’s performed impeccably. The form and design are very stylish; it looks great on my desk. It was immediately recognized and ready to go on my Windows 10 system. All I had to do was plug it in to an available USB 3.0 slot, but I’m sure it would also work fine with USB 2.0. I’m a satisfied customer.
