Great region free player
Being a lover of British television I really wanted a region player so I could pick up DVD and Blu-ray sets from the UK of my favorite shows that aren’t available in the US. (Last of the summer wine the complete series for example) This player works great for that task. I’ve watched hours of both regions B/2 Blu-ray/DVD disc and they all play great. The remote is nothing special, but it works perfectly fine. Picture is great, and setup was easy.The one thing I didn’t try or care about is the streaming feature as my TV does it already. Overall I highly recommend if you’re looking for a region free player.

I love the LG Blu-ray player. It plays great. I only purchased this particular player due to the fact that itâs âregion free â and should play whatever Blu-ray Disc that I wish to play. It does play one of my favorite movies that wouldnât play in my Sony Blu-ray player. So Iâm satisfied. I would recommend this product.

It works
My last LG player conked out after five years and I needed a new one and finding one that worked was becoming a problem. As some other customers have noted, make sure the Amazon seller is 200-Electronics. They provide the full package as promised: a working player, correct remote, HDMI cable if you need it, customer support (which you most likely won’t need) and clear and simple instructions. I set it up and had it playing in less than five minutes. Changing regions is as easy as 1-2-3 — literally, with the remote.

2nd update: I to the new one from 220-electronics, and it not only contained clear instructions but worked perfectly the first time. It seems that this unit is not normally region free, but 220-electronics does some sort of mod to make it so. When I got the one from merchforu, though it was ordered from this same page and so was listed as region-free, it did not have the modification. So I would say it’s worth buying, and I have upgraded my rating, but beware that your results depend entirely on buying from the more reputable vendor.___________Update: I’m now feeling a little bad about putting this review on this page, because the current seller listed is not the same seller I bought mine from, and the seller seems to make all the difference. Currently it’s listed as being sold by 220-electronics, which has great reviews and who were very helpful when I first called them, before we realized I’d actually bought from someone else and they couldn’t help me. When I bought this it was being sold by merchforu. I returned the merchforu version, and then turned around and ordered the same unit from 220-electronics. It should arrive shortly, and I will update my review to reflect the one they send me._________The entire reason I bought this was because it was advertised as region-free. First of all, it did not include the page of region-free instructions advertised (nor the hdmi cable for that matter, but I had another one). Undaunted, I followed every instruction I could find online, first, and then called the number on the side of the box. Nothing the customer service rep suggested worked either, so they finally consulted with a supervisor… who said that the region can not be changed. I’ll go ahead and return it, I guess, and look for another one, but I’m utterly frustrated and have wasted way too much time.

Great Region free mod player — make sure you get from 220-electronics
This is a great region free mod player. I followed the simple directions that came with it, and was watching a Region B BD within seconds. Picture quality is good and everything seems to work great. As others have mentioned, the remote is a little small but that is minor. If you want a solid low price region free mod player, this is it.Make sure you get this from 220-electronics; as someone else mentioned, there was another vendor (they have disappeared) who advertise a region free mod for this player but it does not work, has no directions, and no cable. I got a refund on that one.

WARNING!! Stopped Working in Less Than 5 Months!!!!
BUYER BEWARE!! At first I was thrilled with this Region-free Blu Ray/DVD player. It was compact, easy to setup, easy to use, had a great picture, and played everything I tried in it. But, LESS THAN 5 MONTHS later, IT STOPPED WORKING. I don’t know if it’s a faulty HDMI port or a bad video card, but this player is no longer displaying ANY picture when it’s powered on. There is sound, it has power, but there is no image on screen. I have tried multiple HDMI cables, including cables off of other pieces of equipment that I use daily which I know for a fact work, but there is NO IMAGE being sent from the Player to any monitor/TV. This player ONLY has 1 HDMI port and no A/V option, so if the HDMI quits working, like on mine, you’re out of luck. $140+ down the drain. While it was working, I’d give this player a 4/5, but because it died so fast it gets 1/5.

Best Blu Ray player ever.
This is one of the best blue Ray players out there. It’s region free and plays all DVD and Blu rays from around the world. Plays CDs as well. And if you have a DVD or blue Ray that has poor sound, the caption button will put up captions of the words even if the disc has no subtitles! I highly recommend this player. I am very satisfied with it. LG has made an outstanding product. Comes with remote control.

This is my 4th time I tried buying a multizone player and this one it works!! The packaging is marked with notes about its multizone capabilities and instructions on how to make it work. This is a multi regional player so will play either Blu ray or DVDs from different regions with ease.Remote is compact so be wary to put in same place as being small you could lose it.The player is a nice compact and lightweight size so your not out of breath when unboxing then hooking up to the TV.All round sound and picture quality is good whatever your TV is, the player will read the disc very quickly unless you have put in a scratched disc without realizing.
