    The movie that scared people from swimming in the water…
    This movie is what started it all. Many, after watching the film, ended up scared being from swimming into a pool, pond, river, lake and ocean. When this cult classic came out, it scared everyone. It also started copycat films that have tried to scare people from the giant octopus, sharks, Orca the killer whale, piranha’s, giant squid, prehistoric sea creatures, etc.Jaws 1 and Jaws 2 are the only films worth watching. Jaws 3 & 4, I refuse to buy them. The first movie still scares me today. The second film isn’t at the level of the first, but it’s still a great picture.Just like the DVD special edition, you get all the special features. However, the Blu-ray, is in 1080p, high definition. High quality sound. Great soundtrack. The music still sends chills down when you watch the picture.Jaws is known to have given real nightmares to the viewers and made people scared from entering the water. Many felt the intense action and suspense made people mentally break. Scaring people so much, they had a hard time wanting to enter a swimming pool. Just the fear of a large fish or something in the water, made people turn white. Kids and even adults became scared of just being three feet in the water, made them scared. Unless the water is 100% clear, if you can’t see what’s in the water, many refused to enter.This is one of those films, you can still be scared after all these years. If you’re one of those Gen Z kids who haven’t seen the film, you should check this out. Afterward, you may be afraid to enter the water or have a good night sleep…

    Sharp picture.
    This was a very good Blu-ray. There is not a huge difference between this and a DVD copy, but there definitely is a difference. You won’t see it in all parts, but you do see it in many. I think it is worth the upgrade.

    STILL one of THE BEST movies of all time!
    JAWS will always be in the top ten. It was an amazing movie to see at time and of its time. It created and coined the summer blockbuster. Upon hearing those two notes it brought to the forefront John Williams the greatest living composer of our time. His music kept the shark alive as this Blu-Ray release keeps the shark alive in a greater and higher definition and color. it is a truly remarkable difference over the previously released versions. it also contains both the original mono track of the movie and the 5.1 surround version. I’m more partial to the original soundtrack but both are nice to have. The features are mostly from previous releases and admit to having a few of them. This outside box has a 3-D image of the cover and inside in addition to the movie in the traditional DVD case is also a booklet with information about the movie and characters. It’s a nice added bonus to have. A one time read and keepsake at a minimum. It was a must to see if this version improves on the quality and wasn’t disappointed. It’s usually discounted so not a bad price to add this as an upgrade to older format releases.
