The description was unclear so i asked the community if this played HD DVDs (HD DVD is an older high def format that competed with Blueray and lost). Someone replied that it does so I ordered. I can say definitively that this unit does NOT play HD DVDs. Sending back for a refund.

Not Reliable, overheats easily,It freezes!
I bought this player in December of last year ’23.For the past 3 months the player hasn’t been working well. It gets hot to fast (so no dvd marathon’s)The player will freeze if it’s too hot. It rattles when on pause also, after 5 minutes it will shut off.I will not be purchasing a cheaply made dvd player again, like this one.It completely doesn’t work now.

Hooked up was easy, as soon at the player arrived. Played the movie I had waited a few weeks to watch. Worked great. Glad I replaced the 2 year old player that would not load discs with this one.

Its a good DVD player but it sounds like a space ship taking off. it also skips my dvds at least twice while playing them.
Was shipped well tops of Landry detergent was taped down to be sure there was no chance if it spilling while shipped ordered it with DVD player wish it was have been in a separate box –

We have a clunking old video/dvd recorder that the control has died on. This was bought as an extra so I didn’t have to keep standing by the old one to get it to work. This arrived and of course I had no idea how to plug it in…. I’m scart generation and this didn’t have a scart. The man child visited and was put in charge of sorting it. At first he used the coloured cables and we had picture but it was black and white. So he then used the HDMI cabel and it was fine, only complain was the TV is so old it’s only got 2 HDMI but 4 scart sockets…did I mention the original clinker of a dvd/VIDEO recorder? Lol. Because one socket is taken up with Sky and the other with my firestick I bought a splitter. So now I’m very happy that I’ve got everything I need working again.For it’s size and price it really is a pretty good piece of kit. Its small,compact, quiet, easy to use and has a teeny remote control … which i keep misplacing well I’m used to a great big thing and this is a fraction of the size. lol. Does exactly what it’s meant to …plus, man child is happy he helped his OLD Mum lol

For the cheap price I didn’t hold high expectations, but on first impressions this is an excellent machine. The remote control is small but I don’t have a problem with that, although people with poorer eyesight might struggle. I have just ordered another two to give as birthday presents!

This dvd player was very easy to set and due to its compact size will almost fit anywhere .The dvd image quality is very good indeed .However all of this is ruined due to the remote control.The manufacturers for some reason must have tried to match the size of the remote to the small sized dvd player without any thought for the end user at all !The text and control functions are so small that I have to use a pair of glasses that I borrowed to operate it.A few friends of mine have commented on the poor remote control also !Absolutely no thought of the end user at all ! I will not be recommending this dvd player to anyone !Itâs not even worth one star but thats as low as you can go.
