I’ve had this player less than a year.. it’s actually in a spare bedroom so it’s only been used a handful of times.. and no longer reads discs even brand new discs that play perfectly fine and other players… Movies will not load or if they do it freezes the entire unit and will throw a code …UpdateI contacted the company and they sent a reply after some trouble shooting and multiple back and forth emails they agreed to send me a replacement system.I’ve used it a couple times it’s a slightly different system so I’m going to assume they did a few changes to the system…I would give it a 5 star but I’m hesitant since I’ve only used it a couple times and the first system broke after just a few uses so far so good thoI really appreciate the customer service willing to help me and try to right this situation.

All I did was open plugged in elc.and HDMI and put dvd in that didn’t work on my other DVD player because of region .any way no problems at all works great

Picture quality is excellent.
Compact size, serves as a base for a 19″ TV. Assorted Input/output connections offer great flexibility. HDMI output turns off external audio amplifier. Using RCA outputs eliminates problem. Plays all formats except Blu-Ray. English translation of instructions is mostly incomprehensible. Good audio quality when playing MP-3 files. Poor picture quality when using JPEG feature. Primarily for playing DVDs, music CDs and, it does that well. Learn to use the remote by trial and error method. Easy set-up, good value.

I got this to play some DVDs that I have from other regions. It does this fine. I keep it on the âautoâ setting and it plays whatever DVD I put in it. The picture has vivid colors and a sharp clear image. It took me a few uses to get the hang of the remote control. Some of the buttons are a bit small and I couldnât find some of the key buttons like the play button. But now I have the hang of it. You will need to provide your own two AAA batteries. There are a lot of options in the set up, especially for the audio. Most of them I do not understand. The instruction manual did not help because it was in very broken English. So I just experimented. I had to email the customer service Address that is provided in the manual. I could not get any sound to play. I suspect I do not have the set up done correctly. They have responded three times, very promptly to my questions. They suspect that it is not compatible with my TV. I have been able to get audio when I connect external speakers. But I need those speakers for my music system. They are sending me a replacement unit, in case it is defective. So hopefully it will work. The five stars is for the excellent customer support which makes me feel confident when purchasing from this seller.UpdateThe replacement unit works fine. Picture AND sound. So the first one was a dud. Good customer service. My only gripe is when you power off, the player does not remember where you were in the movie. But given the inexpensive price, this is a minor issue for me.11/21/22So after a few months the replacement unit became unusable. The sound and picture continuously stutter. This brand seems very prone to problems. Additionally, the seller offers to replace units at no cost, which is nice, BUT only if you give a 5 star review, which smacks of bribery and means you cannot trust the positive reviews. The better companies offer replacements without insisting you write a 5 star review.

Could not get it to work
I was attracted to this Maito dvd player by the reviews that mentioned very quiet operation. It was true, it was the most quiet of the four others I have tried before it. The problem was that it did not fill the screen with the picture on either one of my two TVs. I tried to change the picture aspect, but the remote seemed to be stuck in the narrow screen mode, and did not respond. The picture quality was very good, but unfortunately it only covered the middle part of the screen. Returned it.

Years ago we converted all of our VHS tapes to cds only to find that these would also become obsolete. We hadn’t been able to watch them for years. Now we can watch our kids and our grandchildren growing up. The player is easy to set up and use. Excellent value for your money.

My 1990âs stereo had quit playing CDâs but everything else works great. The DVD player I purchased is perfect because it has both HDMI & the older style cords I needed to plug into the auxiliary connection. Iâm using it to play CDâs. Iâm super happy to be listening to my CDâs again.
