sweet movie, great dancing (of course) and bonus features were interesting.
I had never seen this movie, despite being a child of the 80’s. I rented it from the library and then just had to buy it. The movie takes me back to an era of innocence and the dancing is great. Acting is meh, but I’m okay with that. The bonus DVD had some great features and interviews which I found interesting. I find myself re-watching it whenever I am feeling nostalgic.Only downside was the case was cracked on arrival (some of the teeth that hold one of the discs) but it’s not a big deal to me since I’m not planning on transporting or jostling it. Caca occurs in transit sometimes and the movie plays perfectly well so I am keeping it.

    A True Romantic Classic
“Dirty Dancing” is a classic romantic drama film that has garnered a lasting popularity since its release in 1987. Here’s my honest assessment based on watching the movie:Pros:Iconic Dance Sequences: The film is well-known for its impressive and memorable dance sequences, choreographed by Kenny Ortega. The performances by Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey are captivating and add depth to the storyline.Romantic Plot: The central love story between Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze), a dance instructor, and Frances “Baby” Houseman (Jennifer Grey), a young woman on vacation with her family, is engaging and heartwarming. It explores themes of class differences, love, and self-discovery.Timeless Soundtrack: The movie features a soundtrack filled with nostalgic hits from the 1960s, including the popular song “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life,” which won an Academy Award for Best Original Song.Cultural Impact: “Dirty Dancing” has left a lasting impact on popular culture, influencing dance styles and becoming a beloved classic among audiences of different generations.Cons:Predictable Plot Points: While the film’s storyline is enjoyable, some plot developments and character motivations may feel predictable or clichéd, particularly for viewers familiar with romantic dramas.Stereotypical Characters: Some characters in the film, particularly secondary roles, may be perceived as stereotypical or lacking depth, which can detract from the overall narrative.Overall, “Dirty Dancing” remains a cherished film for its memorable dance sequences, romantic storyline, and nostalgic soundtrack. While it may have some predictable elements, its cultural impact and enduring popularity make it a worthwhile watch for fans of romance and dance movies.I received no compensation for this review and have provided my unbiased opinion based on my viewing experience of “Dirty Dancing.”

It’s a classic Patric Swayze movie. I bought a new copy just to get the steelbook cover for my collection. The steelbook was in excellent condition but the plastic cover that slips over the steelbook was a bit damaged from the shrink wrap sealing it all up from manufacturer. I know that has nothing to do with the seller so I gave him/her a 5 star still. Otherwise I’m extremely happy with it.Fast shipping and fair price. I’d definitely buy from this seller again.
