This does what I wanted it to do.
I bought this because I wanted something to play the few DVDs I still have, which mainly consist of British TV shows that you can’t buy digitally and are also not the right region to play on our Xbox.It is small, compact, simple, and very light. As stated, it does play formats other than region 1 (which I also tested and that works fine), including my British TV shows that are region 2. Battery life using the AC adapter is really good and true to what is stated. The volume is adequate for my needs, picture quality is average, the headphone plug works, the remote works, it does remember where you left off in a show for the most part as far as I can tell if you power it down in the middle of something, and it can even do subtitles if the DVD supports it. I haven’t tried the USB, mainly because I have nothing to try it with.IMO opinion, the value you get for the money on this is good and I am really happy that I took a chance on this item.If you buy this, be sure to adjust your expectations. You are getting what you pay for. Will it work? Yes, unless you somehow get a dud. But, it isn’t going to have amazing picture or sound quality or tons of fancy features or have a battery that lasts 24 hours before its next charge is needed, and it gets confused if you do too much with the buttons at once. But if you, like me, just want something that plays DVDs, this is it.I will caution that I don’t recommend buying this for children, unless you plan to heavily supervise them while they use it. It’s really a very fragile piece of equipment that I don’t see withstanding the kind of abuse that children, especially young children, can inflict on such things. This is not because it is not a quality item for what you have spent on it, it’s simply because it is not built for children specifically. If it is dropped, from no matter what height, I am 100% it will not work anymore–remember DVDs, like CDs, work using a laser and also there is a balance that must be sustained for the DVD to spin properly. It doesn’t take much to damage either of those things, whether from a fall, too much jostling, etc. The physical buttons are sturdy, but, as I said earlier, it gets confused if you try to push too many at once to skip around; eventually, it may get confused enough to simply break down to a point where even turning it on and off will not fix it. If I needed something for a child to use, I’d look for something sturdier even if it meant spending more.

Working Well With All The Described Functions.
I enjoyed using this player and testing all the functions during my first week and beyond.Convenient and pleasant to use for lap and table-top uses.I am now using it mainly to play MP3 CD’s and MP3 DVD’s that I prepare on my PC.Connecting the audio out cable to stereo bookshelf speakers produces an amazing improvement in sound quality. The remote provides more helpful features; good to learn all the possible functions.Reviewer GLynn mentioned the USB input. THIS ADDS AN EXCELLENT CHOICE FOR MP3 AUDIO.Few Concerns:The lowest sound level (from internal speakers) is still kinda loud.When connecting A/V out to a TV, the audio comes out of the TV and the player.(Can plug in headphones to audio out to mute on-board speakers.)When playing a CD (with text labels) or MP3 variations, the folder-file labels are helpful but truncated.Still trying to figure out what NES controller works with the player (not SNES or XBox).UPDATE: Yoton customer service is excellent. They explained which controllers work with the player and offered to send me one. Thank You !!!

Worked extremely well for almost a year, then began skipping constantly, would barely play anything. I cleaned the laser lens with a q tip and rubbing alcohol, and this solved the problem. This is a handy portable TV/DVD player, I take it with me when I go to my camp, battery lasts for hours.

Love this little DVD player! It works great so far and so easy to pack and carry. I bought it specifically for travel. I have a larger DVD player, which isn’t practical to pack and carry. Very low cost and it keeps the children entertained while traveling.

Dog dodo of a DVD player. Made in China so nothing new on quality there.
Absolutely dog dodo item. Did not work as advertised at all. Would freeze and scratch disks. Finally it stopped even wanting to work after about 1 month. Waste of money. Do not buy this item. Of course you won’t post my review because it’s honest. Honesty was never the best policy.

Perfect for me. Right size, great picture quality as well as sound quality. I don’t use it in a vehicle so I can’t comment on that but it is great to watch DVD’s when I’m resting

Got it as a Christmas gift and it was great until a little over a month later when it quit working. Right after the 30 day replacement window closed.Edit: the customer service from the company was fantastic and they resolved the problem quickly even though it was passed the return window.

Bien sûr, on peut penser qu’avec toutes les tablettes etc… de nos jours, ce type d’appareil n’a plus de sens… c’est un peu vrai mais j’ai encore des bibliothèques complètes de dessins animés etc… que je peux glisser sur une clé USB et que ma fille peut regarder de temps en temps lors de longs trajets. J’aime aussi le fait qu’elle ne soit pas tentée de démarrer quelconque application ou jeux si c’était une tablette. La, pas de dérive possible.Je concède que je suis sûrement de la dernière génération qui trouvera une utilité à ce type d’appareil !

La marque Yoton nous propose ici un lecteur DVD portable, affiché à 62,99 euros lors de la commande.Dans la boite, on trouve :- Le lecteur DVD, bien emmitouflé dans son airbag réutilisable- une télécommande- un câble d’alimentation secteur, mais aussi un câble d’alimentation allume-cigare, parfait pour une utilisation en voiture sur de longs trajets !- un câble VGA permettant de connecter le lecteur à un écran externe (ou vidéo-projecteur selon les connectiques présentes dessus – attention, pas de port hdmi)- une notice d’utilisationJe suis très satisfait de ce produit, que je trouve très pratique, et polyvalent.Les plastiques sont de qualité correcte, sans être du haut de gamme.L’écran est inclinable, et il est possible de le faire pivoter dans à peu près tous les sens. Attention toutefois à ne pas le manipuler trop brutalement.La navigation se fait via les boutons présents sur le lecteur, ou via la télécommande (qui offrira des contrôles plus poussés, mais pas indispensables). Les boutons sont assez bruyants et il arrive qu’ils soient un peu capricieux, mais ça fait l’affaire pour naviguer dans les menus, même si j’ai connu des systèmes plus intuitifs…J’apprécie la possibilité de pouvoir lire des médias depuis un support externe (carte SD ou USB) ce qui rend cet objet d’un autre temps pas complètement obsolète :)La qualité d’image est plutôt satisfaisante (Bien entendu on ne s’attend ni à de l’OLED ni à de la 4K, qu’on s’entende bien !)La batterie intégrée permet de regarder entre 2 et 3 films sur une seule charge.2 petits regrets :- une housse de transport aurait été appréciée,- le volume des HP reste assez faible dans un environnement bruyant.
