This is a great product, I just now hooked it up to my Samsung TV (Easy Sneeze); It automatically set itself up! I put in a Dvd and then a Blue Ray DVD and it works perfectly. Hopefully it will give me service for years to come.

Refurbished Model worked fine!
Works as promised, from box. Menu driven on first start up, including wi-fi connection (no issues connecting on 1st try). Having read reviews, I already knew that there wasn’t a Power “ON” light, and from the photos I knew it would not have a display which was okay – I just wanted to replace our 6 year old Blu-ray player (it was getting slower and slower loading newer blu-rays) with something else. I considered Sony, but they were on the high side for a Blu-Ray player with USB and Wi-Fi, along with only 3 star ratings (for the models I was viewing). So I started looking at refurbished players. I couldn’t see buying the refurbished Sony that had 3-stars, but eventually found this one. I don’t have issues with buying refurbished items w/warranty. My Nikon APC camera is refurbished (2 years of great shots so far), the 10mm Nikkor lens is refurbished and takes excellent wide angle shots as well (just a couple of examples). So… I’ve had it 3 days and seems to work fine (Check the dimensions because this is kinda small), but should it take a tragic twist I’ll update. As a side note, I had a large movie file (20Gb) that I tried to play on the older player but while the video was good, the sound was too choppy. I plugged it into this players USB slot, the menu recognized it was a 3.0 usb stick (but I think the player is only a 2.0) – eh, long story short —-> The movie played just fine on this unit. Usually electronics like this craps out within the 1 month or less (within 90day warranty period), but I find if you leave it “ON” for a whole week and use it w/o issues, whatever the refurbished product is, should be okay (my experience).**UPDATE** 2/25/2019It’s still working fine, however I did run across something that is an issue for me (although I’ve yet to research it). It’s in regards to streaming content from another source. My old Blu-Ray player would show my shared source easily, and I could then pick a file to stream, and while this one shows the source and files, I can only access them via the dumbed-down menu selections to play VIDEOS. By selecting ‘video’ it displays my files (most are .mp4) along with some .wmv’s I did myself but only recognizes the .wmv files, refusing to play the .mp4 files (error, Files not recognized ). Irritating to me in this aspect, as it will play .mp4 files off USB stick. I guess by selecting the icon “VIDEO” I’m telling it to only play .wmv’s. This would not be a deal breaker as I figured that the low price equals ‘barebones’..**UPDATE** 5/20/2019 -Still working fine, but I uploaded a picture of the remote control because it’s probably the worst designed remote in the history of remote controls. The buttons that you would normally use frequently are placed so far down in the lay out that it’s easy to press the wrong button, and cause a variety of issues. We still enjoy the player, but really hate the remote.

Samsung Renewed, as good as New, really!
This is my first Samsung Renewed. Long time Samsung Blu-ray Player owner. This is my 4th, but first Renewed version. Works perfect, sounds much better than the same model it’s replacing. Time of course, will be the real test. But it’s off to a great start! Being used for Movies, Concerts and CD’s.

Didn’t work!
Hooked up the refurbished player and opened the door with remote. Put bluray disc in, tried the door close with remote. Door closed and re-opened immediately. Tried this 3 or 4 times with same results. Disc tray never stayed in with door closed, kept popping open with the message “no disc in tray”. Tried regular dvd….same issue. Done. Returned immeadiaetly.The only reason that I gave this 1 star was because of the free return shipping….still a pain, having to box it up, get in car & drive down to UPS…was already irritated.

Great buy for the money
Arrived on lime and ready to go out of the box. Easy setup and works as expected. I was not successful in connecting to my router wireless so I could not take advanted of the smart features. I did notice a port for a network cale so i believe if I had a network cable connected to the player I may have had access to the smart features. I purchased the device to play Blue Ray disks and it did just that.

I’m probably going to write the same review, pretty much identical to the ones I read before I ordered this DVD player. No, there is no light to display whether it’s on or off, and a pain. It’s very basic.It’s supposed to work on wifi, and play different regions of disc’s.We bought a small, cheap television recently because our bigger one died, so due to indecisiveness on a new big one, we have bought the most cheap basic tv.BUT,… this dvd player says it can improve the picture on a TV, and it seems to when playing a DVD movie.A new sound bar is a benefit to the cheap TV.also. It’s a Samsung, and I am a pretty dedicated Samsung buyer.I would definitely not pay the new list price for this unit. This is a refurbished like new item for a little over 100.00.One would pay close to that for a cheaper model, so I will use it for a while and see how it lasts. We are using it every night to watch the Rich Man Poor Man series, so it’s going through my trial of use.We shall see.

Rare need these days.
A Blu-ray player is a rare need these days. I had a client that needed a Blu-ray player and wanted it to be a Samsung. In case you did not know Samsung has not made players in a few years and this seemed to be a good option. It works just great and I am sure will only get limited use. The player is in perfect condition cosmetically and works just as well. The remote also seems to be new. I had a little hiccup but the customer service is great.

The item did not work with my Samsung TV, no matter who/how many times we tried. Very frustrating. The customer service rep and service technician provided service above and beyond. I am waiting for my refund. Unfortunately, almost $30 in duties will not be refunded.
