It just works effortlessly
I bought this as a needed tool for my new gaming rig (since built-in CD/DVD drives on desktop computers is a dying practice). It worked as intended as soon as I plugged it in. I was able to run and play games on my gaming PC from this external CD drive. It’s slightly faster than your typical disc drive, but it’s not significantly faster. It also comes with a portable sleeve/case making it a great addition to my tech support tools. The quality was impressive given the price and it was simple to connect and use. I have yet to test the compatibility on anything other than my Windows 11 home gaming PC, but if I do find anything worth noting, I may update my review accordingly.

Nice CD/DVD rom
This is a nice CD/DVD rom. However, if you have Windows 11, unless you installed a DVD reader, the drivers are not installed on a laptop or desktop. Just install a DVD player and then the device works just fine. You can use Media Player for CDs. The resolution is not super good, but that is okay for me. The speed, playability, compactness and value are just right.

Super good. Records cds and reads disc’s as well. I don’t seem to have any issues with randomly ejecting disc’s like someone mentioned. Great price and overall great quality.

Works like it should
No issues with this item. It reads discs like it should. The only minor annoyance is that the cord is not very long at all. It would have been nice if it was at least a few feet long. It’s only about 8-10 inches. Other than that, it works like it should.
