Nice product, nicely packaged and easily set up. I connected to a Roku tv with HDMI cables (included) chose on main screen of tv where I wanted it to appear and that was it. My sound system automatically connected (after turning it on). Plays CDs and Dvd. No problems with either. Good product at an affordable price!

Works pass 6 months
It did well for 6 months and then it stopped. Wouldn’t even turn on anymore 😔False alarm. I plugged it in and it seems to act right again. Yay 😁2nd update. – nope just a couple weeks later same issue… It will stop working when you plug it in doesn’t turn on as normal 😔Hope this doesn’t become the trend… Clearly it’s not very Long lasting.

Dead after 6 months.
We bought this April 28th of 2024, it is now Oct 18th 2024 and it up and died completely today. Unplugged it and plugged it back in and used power button on the machine thinking maybe the remote had died, no luck. It won’t cut on at all, no sound of powering up or anything of the sort. And one of my kid’s favorite movies is stuck inside. So now I’ll have to try and pop the dvd tray open to get the movie out. It ran decently for the 6 months it worked, but it gave no notice anything was wrong, no weird noises or grinding or anything of the sort. It just up and died today in the middle of playing a movie. I wasn’t expecting an amazing machine that lasted years for the price point. But 6 months is really sad.

Lotta Options, NOT as noisy mechanically as some tiny DVD players are
Product has its own “exposure & color” options. Admittedly, however, more than one tic from default and the effect becomes absurdly too much. Of course your TV / Monitor likewise has “color” and “exposure” options. Nice to have both devices giving choices though: monitor & DVD player itself.The menus of the DVD player and the remote control choicings are like COBY Monitor’s Menu, as was true of OTIC tiny DVD player. Except that tiny DVD player did not have STILL frame advance. THIS DVD player (Lonpoo) DOES have still frame advance. (That’s different than slo-mo. Still frame is freezing a frame and going one-frame with each button press.)A nice surprise: this player will play ANY DVD. I have played even a Russian DVD (of an American movie) CODED for RUSSIAN Region. Not a problem. Player played disc and I could choose audio language and subtitles language. DVD player will play PAL DVD’s. I did that too. A PAL DVD with yet a different region code from US or Russia. This fact is a TOTAL (but happy) SURPRISE. A DVD you mistakenly (perhaps, mistakenly; the Russia DVD as an object and its beautiful style jewel box I got knowing it wouldn’t play but it DID play in TTHHIISS DVD machine), well now you can play what you thought were unplayable DVD’s.Picture quality is excellent — and high resolution. Just don’t go more than one tic (up or down) away from the default place for the DVD-itself’s color and exposure settings. The audio “don’t blast me on the loud parts of a movie” DOES work, but it is not a major effect, just a tad more than barely detectable. But you do have to read the manual to know what to do to make that “hearing protection” active. It is NOT sufficient just to choose that menu item (and setting); you must have chosen something else AS WELL, from another menu.UNLIKE OTIC, THIS DVD player does not make NEARLY the amount of mechanical noise (grind-y buzz-y of the laser beam controlling the tracking of beam reading of disc). If you do get a LITTLE grindy/buzzy, just eject disc; reset disc in tray; close. If resume is selected to be ON from DVD player menu, you won’t even lose your place in the DVD playback. Generally, you don’t need to do that, because this DVD player does NOT make much mechanical noise.

Recomendado. A mí me llegó la caja un poco arrugada pero el aparato funciona perfectamente y el sonido e imagen perfecto. Yo lo quería para poder conectar salida sonido al equipo y realmente ha caído a la perfección. Me ha sustituido los dos aparatos que tenía (lector cd i lector dvd).
