Love this product!
We did so much research to find a portable DVD player set. We actually originally were looking at the double screen ones, but the slave monitor thing wasn’t what we wanted. We wanted players that had two separate DVD players and still could be hooked up together to watch one movie. And we wanted all the features like last memory and ports to play different mediums and such.So we got two of these instead, because some reviews said they could be connected, and the price for two was similar to the double-screen slave-monitor systems. And I’m so glad we did! Set-up was super easy! We used the aux cable we already had in our car, one goes in the AV/In, and sends to the AV/Out on the other one, and then you press Mode on the second player and Voila! Both players show the same movie. The travel car case that straps to the back of our headrests are great. They’re a little flimsy so be gentle with them, and make sure you unplug the charger before pulling it out or it could snag the side elastics. But they seem to be better than some of the other options out there. They are very secure on the seats and have buckles, not velcro. The car chargers work well, as do the wall chargers. We have two cigarette lighters in our van, so that’s not an issue for us to plug two in at a time. And they can charge and play the movie at the same time without blowing a fuse (which someone who reviewed another brand said happened). The picture quality and sound are great! Some reviews said the sound is a little quiet when the car ride is going, and I can see what they mean there. It’s not going to be like your home entertainment center. But it’s great for our little girls. Honestly, when their movie is playing I don’t want it to be too loud because I want to hear my audiobook up front. We will use the speakers that way, and to give us more options, we also ended up buying two bluetooth headphone sets, and a bluetooth transmitter so that they could watch their movie and we didn’t have to listen to it too. It works great with the players; it just plugs into the headphone port and we pair the BT headphones to it and both girls can watch and listen to the same movie and we don’t have to up front. We bought those things separately.I’ve been dinking around with these for about a week now and I love everything about them! I haven’t tried playing a movie off of USB or an SD card yet. And likewise I haven’t tried to AV/IN – OUT connect the players while playing off of those formats. So I don’t know how those work yet, but I’ll find out later. We’re about to head out on a cross-country road trip and so we’ll see how they hold up for that! Some other reviews said that they don’t last very long and will go out after a few months or even weeks. But we’ll see how these do for us.I did notice that on one of our players when you plug the headphones all the way into the jack, it only picks up sound in one earbud. But then I pulled it out just a little bit and it made connection and both earbuds played. The other player didn’t have that problem at all. If we end up using the headphone jack a lot that could end up being a little annoying if it means our toddlers’ sound goes in and out when they bump the cord, but hopefully it won’t be a big issue.I really like the design of these. You do have to take them out of the holders and flip up the screen to be able to switch DVDs, but it also means the DVDs are very secure. The DVD insert design is solid and doesn’t skip even when sideways in the car.The remotes work pretty well too. I was pleased to find that one remote can work with both players so I don’t have to keep track of which remote goes to which. In the car the sensor ends up pointing up toward the ceiling, but if I hold the remote high and angle it down I can usually hit it after a couple of tries, even from the far back seat of my mini-van. I don’t think my kids could do it though. But that’s ok for now.Overall I am very pleased with this purchase so far! I will keep using them and see how long they last, and update my review if anything changes. But hopefully they’ll keep doing what they’re doing for a nice long while.

Nice portable DVD player
I almost returned because I didn’t see the power switch and thought it wasn’t turning on. But it works well and has all of the cables needed to play, charge or connect to a TV. the case for attaching to car seat is handy, too. Picture seems good; easy to use. Thanks!

Nicely made DVD player with lots of features – Be aware of weight and not made to play Bluray discs
For years I had a Craig brand portable DVD player. It had a 7-inch screen and was light (1 ½ lbs) to carry and throw in a carryon to watch DVDs on a plane . It finally broke after 8 years! And I decided to try this one – which has a 10.1 inch screen. It’s well made and played right out of the box (without me having to recharge the battery. As other reviews posted here have pointed out, it comes with virtually every cable you’ll need and even one to use to play DVDs through a large screen TV. It’s designed so that you can play DVDs for your kids and they won’t be able to reach the buttons. (the bottom swivels). Another reviewer found it good to make destop presentations. In fact you can add a flash drive (not included but REALLY cheap) to play a .avi file you created with your camera or PC.I liked that it came with a cloth “case” to carry it (or attach to the back of a car seat. (I have no children so that’s not relevant to me.The price is okay for a unit of this size.I do want to caution about two things you should know:1)The unit is fairly heavy. It weighs about 3 pounds (twice what my previous one weighed)2) It is a DVD/CD player. It will NOT play Bluray discs. So if you have a collection of Disney Blurays for your kids or play Blurays at home (on a Bluray player), you won’t be able to play on this unit. (As I understand it, there is a licensing fee a manufacturer must pay to make Bluray players. I looked on Amazon and found some Portable BD players but they were in the $200 range. So this will serve your needs well if you understand the weight issue and – more importantly – that you can only play DVDs and Music CDs on it.The manufacturer has a 30 day return policy.I hope you found this review both informative and helpful.Steve Ramm“Anything Phonographic”

Portable, long battery life, can use headphones
This has been a lifesaver! I bought this to entertain my 5 yr. old when I didn’t have a babysitter for some of my meetings. I plug in a toddler-safe a headphone set, pop in a DVD and he is quiet and happy for my hour- long meetings. I charge it before we leave the house and it has never needed to be recharged before the hour is done. I haven’t timed carefully, but I would guess it will last 3 or 4 hours before needing to be recharged. I am so happy that I don’t have to resort to giving him my phone where he might be able to access things I don’t want him to have. When he is plugged into this, I know he can’t possibly be watching anything other than the age-appropriate DVDs I have selected for him. The picture quality is good, although obviously quite small. But small is exactly what I need when I want my 5 yr. old sitting on a chair with this in his lap. It would work great for travel too, because it could be held on a lap in a train or plane, and with headphones, it would bother anyone else. It can be used with or without headphones. If we lose or break this, I would definitely buy it again.
