Small, but extremely nice DVD player!
This incredibly compact DVD unit is not only very affordable, it functions very well tooThe tv you see in the picture is only a 28 inch model The DVD player is approx 9 inches across. It is the perfect size for this tv!We aren’t majorly into tv or dvd viewing. We had a “nice” dvd player that pretty much filled the bottom of this tv. (This DVD player is less than 1/2 the size of the one we had.)My cousin transferred some family films onto DVDs and sent them to me. When I went to view one of them, I discovered our old DVD player no longer worked. I was already concerned that it might not play “homemade” DVDs, but it had apparently retired from playing any DVDs at allI wanted to see the DVDs my cousin had sent, but I didn’t want to spend the kind of money we had spent on our last DVD player (when it was purchased, a member of our household was a movie aficionado so he chose a very nice, expensive DVD player)I was astonished at how low of a price a DVD player is selling for (and a bit nervous about “getting what I paid for”)I need not have been concerned. This is a wonderful little machine. It came with both HDMI cables and RCA cables in the box. It took just a few moments to connect the HDMI cable to the tv and the dvd player. Once the dvd player was plugged in we were good to goThe sound and picture quality are outstanding on even “homemade” DVDs. The functions on the remote are clear and very easy to understand. It even comes with a free three year warranty that you scan the included QR code with your smartphone camera to activate! (I am quite impressed by this!)I am exceptionally pleased with this purchase. It was very affordable and a quality device!

Great DVD Player
Great DVD player at an affordable price. Easy to set up, the size is perfect and it is quiet while using. Our old one we heard when the DVD was rewinding or fast forwarding, etc. We love the larger remote buttons, it came with a standard remote and a remote with large easy to read buttons which is wonderful for those in need of this. Very happy with our purchase.

Very serviceable unit at affordable price.
As others have reported, this DVD player is a good basic, no frills item. Easy set-up and easy to use. I like the HDMI cable which worked well with my Samsung TV. Remote works fine and the unit is responsive. I also like the compact size.

ELECTCOM PRO ELC-1910: Amazing for the price
I have not searched for a CD/DVD player since dinosaurs ruled the earth. But with a new 43″ TV and Onkyo receiver and speakers in my bedroom, I found myself in the market for a new one. When I started looking in Amazon, I was amazed to find that the only ones available were all these tiny little things, about half the size of a receiver. And most ranged in price from $30-$40, or about 25% of what I remember paying the last time I bought one. Initially I took a shot on the Sony DVPSR510, at $39.88. It worked but that’s about it. No on screen display (my bad, I should have noticed from the Amazon page) and not even LEDs to indicate what functions it was performing. By the time I realized that this was a significant drawback, it was too late to return it (Bought Oct 30, 2024 – could not return one month and one day later). So I looked for another one, and picked the one that had the largest front panel display, the ELECTCOM PRO ELC-1910, despite the facts that it had a bunch of 1-3 star reviews that were critical of almost everything about the unit, was made in China and who every heard of ELECTCOM anyway?The ELECTCOM PRO arrived a two days ago and I used the HDMI port to plug it directly into the TV. The TV is connected via an optical fiber to my sound system. CDs played great, and since the one and only connection is digital, it’s not surprising that it sounded great. Today I dug out some DVDs and tried them. They worked great too. One does have to adjust the unit to output 1080p. For some strange reason (perhaps its origin in China) the default is 720p, which makes the image look horrible.Many of the reviews complained that it was difficult to set up and use. I do not understand that at all. It is neither. The ones that really worried me were the ones that said it either skipped, or wouldn’t load CDs or DVDs, but I haven’t found that to be the case. DVD played perfectly from the get go, no skipping or loading problems and the sound was (duh) just like the CDs I played. Full disclosure: I had one “homemade” DVD that I got from my son’s school about 10 years ago that the player didn’t like very much.So this is a great deal for $39.88. But when I looked a moment ago to check on the model to write this review, I saw that the price has decreased $11.19 a few days after I bought it so it now costs $28.79. I am certain that at that price (or even at $39.88) it can’t be beat.Highly recommended.JM Tepper

Great customer service.
Unfortunately, it did stop working, but wow what customer service. Way above and beyond with a personal experience from Hellen in the customer service team. I figured I would contact them just to let them know it stopped working and they immediately send out a new one with a personal note to go with it. Very impressed and would definitely buy from this company again and totally recommend them if you’re looking for something. Nowadays when you just never know, these guys are legit and true to their word.

The install went well. Both HDMI and phono cables were supplied. We just needed to hook it up and plug it in. The only glitch we ran into is that we didn’t have the HDMI plug fully seated at the start. The remote controlled DVD/CD platter access seems slick. We tested it with a movie DVD and it worked perfectly via one of the HDMI ports on our smart TV. We played a couple of our music CDs via the audio phono plug connections to our HiFi amplifier. Our first impressions are very positive. We are still learning how to use the many more advanced functions.

Encontrar un lector de dvd que te lea todo tipo de dvd (original y copia) no es fácil, y este DVD lo consiguió, a un precio excelente y tamaño reducido, puedo reproducir DVD grabados por mi desde que mis hijos eran pequeños, y se ve de maravilla…. El streaming se comió al dvd, pero con este DVD vuelve a la carga, y cuentos de discos de películas y series ya los puedo ver….

Heel blij met deze dvd speler: ik heb een aantal series die regio 1 zijn… en dan is een europese dvd speler niet wat je nodig hebt. Ik heb deze dvd speler nu 1 jaar en ben er nog steeds erg blij mee. Mooie kwaliteit, afstandsbediening werkt, overzichtelijk ding.Zoek je een goede en niet al te dure regiovrije dvd speler; dan is deze een aanrader

Ho comprato questo lettore DVD ai miei genitori che hanno già una certa età, è di facile utilizzo e veloce istallazione, nessuna difficoltà di utilizzo. Mi ha un pochino deluso l’imballaggio perché la scatola mostrava chiaramente il prodotto durante il viaggio.
