Love the DVD player as it is âregion freeâ. I like the player as you can adjust whether the closed captions show, if you want the language in any of the foreign languages listed, it also has other options you can utilize.I have had this player for about 3 weeks and the remote quit working. Checked the batteries and put in new batteries, still wonât work. Contacted company via email, and although it took several days for a response, they will replace the remote. The DVD player works great with our smart tv. Reasonably priced too!

Maite DVD PLAYER
7/3/2022 I really like the player but have a serious issue with the remote interferring with my Pyle audio booster/surround sound & when I use my Pyle remote it sends video player back to the beginning of movies, that was yesterday…today it’s random results. 7/7/2022 Update; Contacted Seller about the issue & they sent a new replacement, they contacted me throughout the shipping process to make sure I received the new player, that it worked & if I was happy with the replacement. How could you not like a company that takes care of the customer and backs it’s product. I recommend not just for customer service but also playing all regions, formats and the USB is a huge plus AND the price you can’t beat.Thank You Maite Team. Update 8/11/22 Player will not play usb-mp4, I reformatted a flash drive 16gb to NTFS and when I try and play movies nothing happens, read instructions again but it didn’t work. There are problems with remote too, error messages galore. I am just going to break down and buy a different DVD player. I hope I am the only one with these issues because I thought myself and the manufacturer had the problem resolved.

Remote not working
Got this given its region free capability when we needed a new DVD player. The player itself is fine. Picture quality is good. Scales nicely, renders DVDs nicely and brightly to our HDTV and lives up to its region-free billing.The problem is the remote. I hooked everything up and it worked fine. When we went back to use it the next time, a little over a month later, the remote would not work. I tried all the basic troubleshooting tips from Amazon – changing batteries, resetting the DVD player, complete power cycle – but to no avail. There is a QR code on the packaging for technical support, and I tried it to deal with this issue directly with them or deal with this under warranty, but the URL for the manufacturer’s general website, maiteco.com, does not open and returns domain errors in a browser.So now we are stuck with a DVD player that is practically unusable, because there are no physical buttons on the front of the player to navigate menus, select options, or skip chapters on the DVD. Given that this is an off brand, I am not even sure that a universal remote will pair with the DVD player. Very disappointed.Update: I eventually was able to communicate with Maite. All the communications were super shady. They offered to replace the remote for free id and only if I was willing to change my review to 4 or 5 stars and send a picture of my updated review. I refused to be bribed. Honestly, I should have reported the whole thing to Amazon, but never got around to it. I got suckered into buying a replacement remote that they sent a link for. instead because I refused to play their review editing game. If I aim it just right, I can sometimes open the setup menu or open the DVD tray, but the remote is so unresponsive after that I can’t do anything. The one thing the remote does seem to reliably control for some odd reason is the fan in my living room.I may try my luck with a unversal remote and see if it’s any better, but I’m not holding my breath. Steer clear if at all possible.

Great dvd player, my family loves it, would recommend
We bought this during labour day sales, though the price was decent, functions are what we needed. Had to say, I wasnât expecting much because of the positive & negative reviews they got, but once I received the dvd player, itâs pretty legit, our family use it to watch kids dvdâs or classic dvds. It plays all day long and its still seems pretty smooth, great interface. My husband would buy some classic dvds from Europe or Mexico and this dvd player had no problem playing those. It would be best if they could improve the user manual for more details, but overall, I loved it. Especially their online video tutorial to teach how to set up the dvd player was beyond what I paid for (our old ones did not have), so had to give credit for their service. Not to mention the quality of the HDMI cables it came with was even better than what we bought serval days ago on amazon.. so that was surprisingly good. The shape seems solid to me, it fell once but it still works well. Last but not least, we donât use the mic feature that often cause we donât have a mic.. lol, but itâs great that it comes with it, cuz our kids love singing with the TV show Dora⦠so we might consider buying a mic in the future. All in all, great price, quality, and legit! I would recommend it.

Only has a 30 day warranty
I gave this as a gift at Christmas and it stopped working today. Amazon will not replace it because it is over 30 days since purchase. It is made by Maite5/3/24 updateI contacted the company and they gave me a new player. It is good to know they stand behind their products.

It works but the quality….
The quality of this is not so great and it tends to malfunction with basic operations like “play all episodes.” It’s better than an old DVD player but that’s about all I can say. And the remote is bizarrely set up, hard to find basic buttons like the menu button. I would spend the money and get a better quality.

Muy confiable, bien hecho, se siente de calidad. Reproduce todos los DVD que tengo, originales y copiados en casa. Muy sólido. Me gusta que recuerda dónde se quedó la pelÃcula. Lo único que no me gusta es el control está un poco raro la ubicación del botón play. Tampoco me gusta mucho que el contador de tiempo llega nada más hasta 99 minutos y luego se reinicia. Pero esos son detalles menores. Lo importante es que funciona muy bien y es muy versátil pues tiene varias conexiones como HDMI y también RCA y RCA composite. Muy completo a muy buen precio. La calidad de imagen muy bien sin queja

I purchased this as the product from ibell did not even power up.This product powered up and i connected it to a lenovo monitor. It is working as expected. I did not try copy or other features that are available, basic function worked well

Have only had this for a week and tried a few times. I have tried all sorts of different disks with it, DVD, VCD, regular cd’s, CD+G (karaoke disks). It has read everything and very quickly as well. Usually, these cheaper machines will take a while to read the disks, but this was super fast to start and then responds quickly to chapter searches, Fast Forward (very fast fast forward – up to 20x). No lags in video processing.Sound processing is good, although I’ve only tried the analog outs. Hooked up to my 5.1 surround, and it processed the surround sound well to the receiver.Slight problem at first with bringing up Black and White picture only, but a quick google search determined that I had to change the settings on my setting to read composite as I was hooked up through the composite out ports on the DVD player.I have it hooked up for use as a karaoke player as well but haven’t tried the microphone in port yet. Its a standard 1/4 inch microphone port. No controls on front to control volume on the microphone.Excellent value for the price. I would buy one again.
