The start of disaster franchises
This series of films has many guest stars, many who were retired at time movies were made. Also interesting to see the advancement of the Joe Patroni character, the only returning cast member in all 4 movies.

I enjoyed these movies totally. They were interesting and held my attention from start to finish. They were well made movies and well directed, and the actors were all star cast. My husband and I loved these three dvd’s.

I wanted a blast from the past – to see people actually dressing in their best for a flight instead of turning up in their outdoor P.J.’s. Then shame their best outfits will go through the wringer because their various planes have to then go through hell. These various four stories are all about a bomb, a mid-air collision, the ditching of a private aircraft and a poor old Concorde in trouble – all being saved by the suave Dean Martin, the ruggedly chiselled Charlton Heston, poor Jack Lemmon coming a cropper and the evil swine Robert Wagner. Its all 1970’s/80’s popcorn fare with some great movie stars from the past. They are all Saturday afternoon – raining outside – entertainment, what’s not to enjoy? Overall, I think the finest one of the bunch of movies is Burt Lancaster, solid, dependable – the man in charge, and I did enjoy Helen Hayes performance.

Una buona collezione degli “Airport” ma solo se nei vostri scafali avete problemi di spazio. Infatti questa collection contiene tutti 4 i dvd in un unico comparto. In caso contrario potete trovarli tutti 4 con ognuno la sua custodia (a costo più alto) con l’unico difetto che “airport 77” lo trovate solo con la custodia in lingua tedesca seppur con l’audio in lingua italiana. Per quel che riguarda invece questa collection, l’unica cosa negativa di questa collezione è che il primo “Airport” è solo in lingua inglese mentre gli altri 3 li trovate sia in italiano che con i sottotitoli in italiano. Potete acquistare il dvd “Airport” in italiano e sostituire quello in inglese, alla fine è sempre conveniente.
