Plugin both the USB cables
Works very nicely.Both the fat cable and the thin cable need to be plugged into the PC because one is to power the drive and another is for data.

DOES NOT STAY CONNECTED
This device works. When it wants to! Once connected, the computer will see it. For approximately 15 minutes. Then it disconnects and you have to unplug it and plug back in. Then it is just rinse and repeat until you get sick of doing that. I would NOT recommend purchasing this item.

Solid Optical Drive
First one I recieved was DOA but they were very quick to send out another. The second one is a very good drive that can read CD/DVD/Blu-ray as intended. It has a very decent design and works pretty well. Does not burn Blu-ray but burns DVDs and CDs pretty well. Works very well as a Blu-ray player.

Easy to watch DVDs
This dvd player is very easy to install and watch your movies. Just read the clear easy instructions and plug the cables as noted. I watched several blu rays and normal dvds this weekend and they all ran so smooth with no problem noted. It is a great value for money and must have for all laptops with no dvd players.

Good at reading standard 1080p blu-ray discs, but no UHD 4k support
The good news is that the drive does what it says on the box. The bad news is that it’s actually an older Matshita unit stuffed into a newer package, and doesn’t support newer formats like 4k. There are many drives just like this on the market, and I would expect them to all work about the same.The drive says it has the following model number: BD-CMB UJ141EF

Quiet and very portable
Plugged into my Win10 laptop. Plug and go, no additional driver is needed.I like how the drive has built-in two USB 3.0 ports so you will not lose any port once you plugged this in.the drive is quiet.

Can finally watch DVD again
After a long time I can now watch dvds again. Very easy to hook up and operate. This is great to have if you have a lot of disc media sitting around with no drive on your computer.
