Many laptops no longer accommodate reading dvds. I had a medical recordsâ dvd to read and ordered this very quickly. It worked great. Plug and go. Completely compatible with my Lenovo Yoga laptop. Glad to have it going forward.

Very Nice Product
This product works great with my laptop. I have used it on a USB hub without any issues. The integral cable is very handy as it folds away under the drive and means that I can’t lose it! (as I am prone to do). The speed seems fine although I haven’t used it for watching movies yet.

A so-called plug and play device that is quite user-UNfriendly.Instructions say, basically:Here is an external CD/DVD drive. If the first USB cord provided doesn’t power it sufficiently, use our gift to you of a second USB cord (a different type and in two pieces) to make it work properly–which it does not.Sadly, I admit I was in a hurry when I ordered it and didn’t check it out thoroughly. Still, when a product claims “Plug-N-Play,” one expects to receive just that. This thing is just as efficient as a warped Rubik’s Cube.
