Good back story.
It arrived quickly. The DVD was in perfect shape. However, when I took the outer wrapper off of the DVD the paper in the cover would not stay on so I had to scotch tape the plastic on.

Great origin story!
I love a good origin story of a villain in later books/movies and this one did not disappoint! I read the book first and I think they did a great job portraying that book onto screen! The cast was remarkable and it was really cool seeing the Capital/12th district 64 years before Katniss volunteered for the Hunger Games!

Awesome Prequel!
This is an awesome prequel to ” The Hunger Games” which is currently available on Blu-Ray at a great price! I was upgrading my D.V.D.’s… actually I thought they were missing. So, when I saw ” The Hunger Games at such a great deal I purchased them. The deal was so good it allowed me to get this Blu-Ray D.V.D. 2 for. after finding my missing D.V.D’s do I have regrets? Absolutely not! Now I have the complete collection on both Blu-Ray & D.V.D.!!! Actually, for the deal that’s going on for ” The Hunger Games” Blu-Ray set I could sell my D.V.D.’s & still come out ahead. The sound & visual quality is top notch & the story line compelling setting up the original ” Hunger Games” franchise. a plus for any movie collection. even as a standalone film. But with the great deal on the complete original ” Hunger Games” Blu-Rays I wouldn’t wait around to long. They may cost $100 in the near future. So, get it while its hot. If my review on ” The Hunger Games” makes it near the top, cross reference the 2 reviews.

The BOok Is Better
The book is better. The movie seemed rushed to go through all of the highlights of the film. The main actress seemed wrong for this film. Her line delivery early in the film was something to be desired. Viola Davis was the star of the film for me. Cornelius Snow was good as well. THis is an OK film, but I have only watched it twice and I don’t see myself watching it again anytime soon.

This review has nothing to do with the movie, it has to do with Canadian customers being informed before they buy. The stars are to reflect on the customer service I received from Lionâs Gate Digital. For all you Canadian customers, the digital code WILL NOT work in Canada. Lionâs Gate Digital were absolutely no help with this issue. Amazon was great however – when I explained the situation they refunded me a reasonable amount to cover the cost of the missing digital code. Just because you are buying a blu-ray with digital code on the Canadian Amazon site, and it says itâs being shipped from Amazon.ca it does not mean you are getting what you think you paid for. I would never had paid the price of this blu-ray if I knew the digital code wasnât going to work.

Me gustó mucho la pelÃcula como historia de la juventud de Snow y pelÃcula de los Juegos del Hambre. Sin embargo, creo que hubiera quedado mejor dividida en dos pelÃculas, ya que abarca dos historias que se podrÃan haber detallado mejor en dos entregas. Por lo demás, me gustó la historia y los personajes, especialmente los protagonistas y antagonistas, el desarrollo de la relación de Snow y Lucy, lo maquiavelico que podÃa ser Snow de joven y como mostraban lo tosco qué eran los primeros Juegos en comparación a la sofisticacion y espectáculo que vemos que se armaba en la época de historia de Katniss
